The endomorphic body type, characteristics
The endomorph body type has the following characteristics:
-
Rounded up face
-
Narrow body
-
Narrow shoulders
-
Short members
-
Fine bones
-
Tendency to roundness and to catch of adipose cloths
-
Slow digestion predisposes it to weighty catch
-
Cardiac pulse is slow in repose and normal blood pressure

The endomorph has a lymphatic, calm temperament, in slow and methodic activity. He is predisposed to develop its force. Having an often well brought up bodily weight he will have to look after a balanced feeding which will have to answer its energy expenditure, to control reasonably its weight. The endomorph will also have to work first and foremost its endurance which will also influence its weight.
The endomorph : he is predisposed to portliness, his metabolism is slow. It has so tendency to be collected easily by some adipose cloth. For the endomorphs, a regular cardiovascular activity is particularly recommended.
His training will be in most cases constituted of long series (12-15 repetitions), with a basic exercises (polyarticulaire) by muscular group in the course of which he will be able to perform heavier series to develop his muscular mass. Longer series will be used for the supplementary exercises.
Let us take the example of a session of pectoral muscles: you begin with a main exercice (which will be a preferred exercice polyarticulaire), for this first exercise, you will perform 4 series with a rather heavy load (8-10 repeated). Then, you will make another two other supplementary exercises with 3 - 4 series each, but with more moderate load and of longer series (12-15 repeated).
As regards dietetics, the endomorph will have to watch its feeding not so as to collect too much grease, while taking of the muscular mass.
The principle of dissociated feeding (where we separate the proteins of carbohydrates in the same meal) can be applied in that case. Also, he will have to avoid the consumption of quick sugars and excesses of saturated grease.
